| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| Section 1: Sec. 284.003, Transportation Code. PROJECT AUTHORIZED; | ||
| CONSTRUCTION, OPERATION, AND COST is amended by adding subsection | ||
| (h): | ||
| (h) Money allocated and collected by a toll road authority | ||
| is restricted only for usage by that toll road authority on road | ||
| projects. | ||
| Section 2: Sec. 284.0031, Transportation Code. OTHER ROAD, STREET, | ||
| OR HIGHWAY PROJECTS is amended by adding subsection (f): | ||
| (f) Money allocated and collected by a toll road authority | ||
| is restricted only for usage by that toll road authority on road | ||
| projects. | ||
| Section 3: This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. | ||
