| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Chapter 250, Local Government Code, is amended | ||
| by adding Section 250.007 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 250.007. RESTRICTION ON REGULATION OF HYDRAULIC | ||
| FRACTURING TREATMENT. A county or municipality may not prohibit | ||
| hydraulic fracturing treatment of oil or gas wells. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. | ||
