| relating to the timely processing of certain requests relating to | ||
| the employment of a person released on parole or to mandatory | ||
| supervision. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 508, Government Code, is | ||
| amended by adding Section 508.1145 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 508.1145. PROCESSING OF REQUEST RELATING TO RELEASEE | ||
| EMPLOYMENT. To the extent practicable, a parole officer shall | ||
| complete the processing of a request relating to a releasee's | ||
| employment, including all necessary paperwork, not later than the | ||
| third business day after the date the officer receives the request. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. | ||
