provided by a regional education service center. | ||
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 8, Education Code, is | ||
amended by adding Section 8.0532 to read as follows: | ||
Sec. 8.0532. PROHIBITION ON SCHOOL DISTRICT USE OF | ||
CURRICULUM. Notwithstanding any other provision of this | ||
subchapter, a school district may not use or authorize its teachers | ||
or employees to use student curriculum products developed or | ||
provided before August 31, 2013, by a regional education service | ||
center acting in collaboration with one or more other regional | ||
education service centers. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | ||
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | ||
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | ||
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | ||
Act takes effect on the 91st day after the last day of the | ||
legislative session. |
