SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
  WHEREAS, Family and friends will forever cherish their
  memories of Edwin Elmer Perryman of Tyler, who passed away on
  October 30, 2024, at the age of 71; and
         WHEREAS, A lifelong resident of Tyler, Edwin Perryman was
  born on August 3, 1953, to Elmer and Reba Perryman, and he grew up
  with the companionship of two sisters, Judy and Kerry; after
  graduating from John Tyler High School in 1971, he embarked on a
  rewarding 36-year career with Southwestern Bell and AT&T; and
         WHEREAS, Devoted to his family, Mr. Perryman enjoyed the love
  and support of his wife, Sheryl, and they became the proud parents
  of nine children, Paul, Robert, Joy, James, Laura, Daniel, Katie,
  Mary, and Justin; with the passing years, they were blessed with
  eight grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Perryman was a man of faith and an active member
  of his church; he also took pleasure in spending time outdoors, bird
  hunting, and gardening; and
         WHEREAS, Although Edwin Perryman will be deeply missed, those
  who were privileged to share in his love and friendship will forever
  remember him with admiration and affection; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the 89th Legislature of the State of Texas
  hereby pay tribute to the life of Edwin Elmer Perryman and extend
  deepest sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife, Sheryl;
  to his children, Paul, Laura, Daniel, Katie, and Mary Perryman,
  Robert Perryman and his wife, Jessie, Joy Lawson and her husband,
  Richard, and James Perryman and his wife, Marianna; to his sisters,
  Judy Nick and her husband, Jerry, and Kerry Crews and her husband,
  Ray; to his grandchildren; and to his other relatives and friends;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives and Senate adjourn this day, they do so in memory of
  Edwin Perryman.
