SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 124
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  William Warmuth
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and
  commemorates the life of William L. Warmuth, who died January 23,
  2021, at the age of 81; and
         WHEREAS, An esteemed citizen, Bill Warmuth was a respected
  member of the Village of The Hills community, and he enriched the
  lives of all who knew him through his wisdom, his generosity, and
  his civic example; and
         WHEREAS, Bill Warmuth was born on February 19, 1939, in
  Utica, New York; he earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics
  from Syracuse University and a master's degree in business
  administration from the Wharton School of the University of
  Pennsylvania, and he enjoyed a 32-year career with the
  International Business Machines Corporation; after retiring, he
  earned a master's degree in education from the University of New
  Haven and devoted three years to teaching mathematics in
  Bridgeport, Connecticut; and
         WHEREAS, Bill married Helen Bruce LaMontagne on August 19,
  1961; they shared a joyful life and were active members of their
  communities in Livingston, New Jersey, and Old Greenwich,
  Connecticut; they raised two children, Thomas and Louise, and
  they relocated to Texas in 1998; Bill served their community in
  The Hills in several leadership positions, and his extensive
  involvement in Republican politics included serving as chair of
  Precinct 346 and as president of the Lake Travis Republican Men's
  Club; and
         WHEREAS, Bill Warmuth was a devoted family man who enjoyed
  spending time on puzzles, word games, and math problems and
  sharing those hobbies with family members; he was beloved by
  many, and he leaves behind memories that will long be cherished
  by all who were privileged to share in his life; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th
  Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
  family of William L. Warmuth; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
  Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
  memory of Bill Warmuth.
