SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 31
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize the C. H. Yoe High School Yoemen football team from
  Cameron, which recently won the 2012 Class 2A Division I state
  championship title; and
         WHEREAS, The Yoemen won the school's second state
  championship in football by defeating the Daingerfield High
  School Tigers by a score of 38-20 in a game that saw the Yoemen
  take an early lead and hold it throughout the contest; and
         WHEREAS, These young athletes have demonstrated great
  talent and perseverance over the course of the school year,
  finishing the season with a perfect record of 15-0, a first in
  school history; team members can take great pride in their
  outstanding performance; and
         WHEREAS, Under the superior leadership and expertise of
  head coach Rick Rhoades, the Yoemen have developed exceptional
  teamwork and discipline; and
         WHEREAS, C. H. Yoe High School and the people of Cameron
  are proud of the Yoemen for their hard work, their impressive
  skills, and their fine sportsmanship; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
  83rd Legislature, hereby commend the Cameron C. H. Yoe High
  School Yoemen for their successful season and extend
  congratulations to them on winning the 2012 Class 2A Division I
  state championship; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  the team as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
