| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to | ||
| recognize the C. H. Yoe High School Yoemen football team from | ||
| Cameron, which recently won the 2012 Class 2A Division I state | ||
| championship title; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The Yoemen won the school's second state | ||
| championship in football by defeating the Daingerfield High | ||
| School Tigers by a score of 38-20 in a game that saw the Yoemen | ||
| take an early lead and hold it throughout the contest; and | ||
| WHEREAS, These young athletes have demonstrated great | ||
| talent and perseverance over the course of the school year, | ||
| finishing the season with a perfect record of 15-0, a first in | ||
| school history; team members can take great pride in their | ||
| outstanding performance; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Under the superior leadership and expertise of | ||
| head coach Rick Rhoades, the Yoemen have developed exceptional | ||
| teamwork and discipline; and | ||
| WHEREAS, C. H. Yoe High School and the people of Cameron | ||
| are proud of the Yoemen for their hard work, their impressive | ||
| skills, and their fine sportsmanship; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, | ||
| 83rd Legislature, hereby commend the Cameron C. H. Yoe High | ||
| School Yoemen for their successful season and extend | ||
| congratulations to them on winning the 2012 Class 2A Division I | ||
| state championship; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| the team as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. | ||
