SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 432
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Mike Berry on the occasion of his induction into the
North Texas Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Berry is president of Hillwood Properties; he
is receiving this prestigious honor for his work in developing
the 17,000-acre Alliance project for Ross Perot, Jr.; and
WHEREAS, The Alliance project is a master-planned
community that encompasses nearly 32 million square feet and
includes more than 300 corporate residents, 30,000 employees,
and more than 7,700 single-family homes; it has had an economic
impact of more than $40 billion on the North Texas region; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Berry is joining such previous honorees as
Trammell Crow, the Henry S. Miller Company, Angus G. Wynne, Roger
Staubach, and John M. Stemmons, Sr., in the North Texas
Commerical Real Estate Hall of Fame, which is celebrating its
25th year; he is truly deserving of this award for his profound
impact on the real estate industry in North Texas; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
Legislature, hereby commend Mike Berry on his many outstanding
achievements and extend congratulations to him on his induction
into the North Texas Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame; and, be
it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
