Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. §1. That the Board of Agriculture and Consumer Services shall amend regulations governing retail food establishments to provide (i) an exemption from the requirement that at least one employee of the retail food establishment who has supervisory and management responsibility and authority to direct and control food preparation and service be a certified food protection manager, provided that the retail food establishment has not been found to be in violation of regulations governing retail food establishments in the immediately preceding five-year period, and (ii) for acceptance of evidence of online training and completion of an online examination to satisfy the requirements for certification as a food protection manager.
§2.
