HOUSE BILL NO. 130 Offered January 13, 2010 Prefiled January 5, 2010 A BILL to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered 22.1-98.3, relating to the local composite index. ---------- Patron-- Pollard ---------- Referred to Committee on Education ----------

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1.  That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 22.1-98.3 as follows:

§22.1-98.3. Local composite index; adjustment for state share of basic aid for certain school divisions.

Effective on July 1, 2011, the local composite index shall be fixed at 0.6000 for any school board of a school division in which the average daily membership was fewer than 2,000 students for the preceding school year and in which the Free and Reduced Lunch participation exceeded 45 percent of the students.
