A BILL to provide credit monitoring services to certain
taxpayers; emergency.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. §1. The Department of Taxation shall offer, free of charge, credit monitoring services for a period of 12 months to any taxpayer whose personal identifying information was erroneously provided to a person other than the taxpayer on an IRS 1099-G form.
2. That an emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
3. That the provisions of this act shall expire on July 1, 2023.
