A BILL to amend the Code of Virginia by adding in Article 1 of Chapter 35 of Title 54.1 a section numbered
54.1-3506.2, relating to licensure to practice professional counseling without
examination.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Article 1 of Chapter 35 of Title 54.1 a section numbered 54.1-3506.2 as follows:
§54.1-3506.2. Licensure of certain persons without examination.
The Board shall issue a license as a licensed professional counselor without examination to a person who has applied for such a license and who satisfies all other education, experience, and fitness to practice requirements set forth in regulation and who, in the judgment of the Board, is qualified to practice professional counseling.
