Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. §1. That the Department of Environmental Quality shall promptly enforce federal regulations implementing §316(b) of the federal Clean Water Act (33 U.S.C. §1251 et seq.) for cooling water intakes at power plants to reduce negative impacts on fish populations in the waters of the Commonwealth.
