Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 46.2-1129.2 as follows:

§46.2-1129.2. Weight limits, permit requirements, and permit fees not applicable to vehicles hauling wood pellets.

No weight limit imposed by this article shall apply to any vehicle or combination of vehicles being used to transport wood pellets. Such vehicles shall also be exempt from any overweight permit requirements and fees provided for in this article.
