WHEREAS, for 12 years, William G. Coada served as a member and former chair of the Charles City County Board of Supervisors, demonstrating steadfast dedication to the residents of District Two and exceptional leadership to the community as a whole; and
WHEREAS, during his tenure in local government, William "Bill" G. Coada spearheaded numerous projects and initiatives aimed at fostering economic development, improving schools, and enhancing the lives of all residents of Charles City County; and
WHEREAS, Bill Coada oversaw significant advancements in land purchases, transportation improvements, emergency services, waste management, budget controls, and the creation of new jobs; and
WHEREAS, a champion for lifelong learning, Bill Coada implemented innovative programs related to school infrastructure and the enhancement of academic resources, ensuring that Charles City County students receive the best possible education; and
WHEREAS, over the course of his career, Bill Coada placed a high priority on the well-being of community members by advocating for their rights, addressing their concerns with utmost diligence and compassion, and participating in countless local activities and events; and
WHEREAS, respected for his integrity and expertise, Bill Coada fostered a culture of collaboration and supported effective decision-making processes within the Charles City County Board of Supervisors, greatly contributing to the overall growth of the community; and
WHEREAS, through his visionary leadership, Bill Coada earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues, constituents, and the community; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend William G. Coada for his 12 years of service as a member of the Charles City County Board of Supervisors; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to William G. Coada as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for his achievements in service to the Charles City County community.
