WHEREAS, Gary Wisecarver has served the Campbell County community for many years as the owner and operator of his family's farm; and
WHEREAS, Charlie Wisecarver, Jr., Farms was established in the mid-1800s and was designated as a Virginia Century Farm, having been in continuous operation for well over 100 years; and
WHEREAS, Gary Wisecarver has continued his family's proud legacy in farming and represents the fifth generation of his family to maintain the business; and
WHEREAS, Gary Wisecarver grows barley and sorghum and raises cattle to produce high quality beef for retail sale to customers all over the Commonwealth and the country; and
WHEREAS, Gary Wisecarver has been an outstanding steward of the Commonwealth's natural resources and has played an important role in the region's agricultural economy; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Gary Wisecarver hereby be commended for his service to the Campbell County community as a farmer; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Gary Wisecarver as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for his contributions to the Commonwealth's agricultural sector.
