HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 340
Commending the Loudoun County Public Schools Mobile Health Clinic.

WHEREAS, the Loudoun County Public Schools Mobile Health Clinic, an initiative launched in June 2023, has greatly served the community by bringing convenient, quality health care to Loudoun County students and their families; and

WHEREAS, with support from a Virginia Department of Education grant, the Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) Mobile Health Clinic has served six schools in the school division, including Forest Grove Elementary School, Guilford Elementary School, Sterling Elementary School, Sully Elementary School, and Sugarland Elementary School; and

WHEREAS, during school visits, the LCPS Mobile Health Clinic offers students physicals and wellness checks and helps connect families with health care resources, including dental services, as necessary; and

WHEREAS, the LCPS Mobile Health Clinic has held more than 25 clinics since the beginning of the 2023–2024 school year, supporting upwards of 175 students and their families; and

WHEREAS, the convenience of the LCPS Mobile Health Clinic has improved the quality of life for many families who face challenges scheduling and traveling to appointments with their standard providers; and

WHEREAS, the LCPS Mobile Health Clinic has provided care to many students without health insurance who might not have received care if not for the support of the clinic; and

WHEREAS, the LCPS Mobile Health Clinic is carried out in partnership with Inova and the George Washington University School of Nursing, which have provided staffing and other support to assist the LCPS nurse practitioner, registrars, and interpreters who serve the clinic; and

WHEREAS, the LCPS Mobile Health Clinic has provided vital health care services to students and families in need, making Loudoun County a more wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That the Loudoun County Public Schools Mobile Health Clinic hereby be commended for its service to the community; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the Loudoun County Public Schools Mobile Health Clinic as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for the accomplishments of the initiative and best wishes for its continued success.
