WHEREAS, the Exchange Club of Lynchburg, an organization dedicated to inspiring communities to become better places to live, which has greatly served the Lynchburg community for several decades, held its 62nd annual Pancake Jamboree at the Lynchburg City Armory on November 3, 2023; and
WHEREAS, the Exchange Club of Lynchburg was chartered in 1938 by local business leaders who wanted to promote collaboration and the exchange of ideas to improve the quality of life in the community; and
WHEREAS, guided by its core values of family, community, and country, the Exchange Club of Lynchburg supports youth programs, service projects, its Americanism Program of Service, child abuse prevention initiatives, and more in the furtherance of its mission; and
WHEREAS, the Exchange Club of Lynchburg's beloved Pancake Jamboree draws thousands of visitors each year, raising funds for the organization's programs while also fostering a greater sense of community among its attendees; and
WHEREAS, the accomplishments of the Exchange Club of Lynchburg are the result of the indefatigable efforts of its volunteer members, who have realized the organization's vision by helping to make Lynchburg a more wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That the Exchange Club of Lynchburg hereby be commended for its legacy of service on the occasion of its 62nd annual Pancake Jamboree; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to representatives of the Exchange Club of Lynchburg as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for the organization's contributions to the Commonwealth.
