Commending Baila Fuzion Dance and Creative Arts Center.

WHEREAS, for more than a decade, Baila Fuzion Dance and Creative Arts Center has enhanced community life in Virginia Beach by offering dance classes and promoting the achievements of local performers, artists, and artisans; and
WHEREAS, Baila Fuzion Dance and Creative Arts Center offers dance classes for children as young as eight years old, as well as senior classes to help older residents stay engaged in the community and couples classes to inspire togetherness at any stage of a relationship; and
WHEREAS, in addition, Baila Fuzion Dance and Creative Arts Center supported the establishment of the Arts Out Loud Foundation to help artists and artisans advance their careers; the foundation serves the wider community through a number of outreach efforts, including scholarships; and
WHEREAS, the Arts Out Loud Foundation also hosts an artisan market, a vibrant, eclectic marketplace, where customers can explore one-of-a-kind handmade items from local vendors; and
WHEREAS, in addition, Baila Fuzion Dance and Creative Arts Center promotes and supports local nonprofit organizations and other small businesses that are working to make a difference in the community through its Illuminate What Matters campaign; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Baila Fuzion Dance and Creative Arts Center hereby be commended on the occasion of its 10th anniversary; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Marquita Bianca, director of Baila Fuzion Dance and Creative Arts Center, as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for the center's contributions to cultural life in Virginia Beach.
