WHEREAS, Offix, a company providing businesses and organizations in the Commonwealth, Washington, D.C., and Maryland with top-tier office equipment and technology, celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2024; and
WHEREAS, after several years working as a photocopier technician, Steve Valenta founded Offix on July 20, 1999, with a mission to create an office technology company that prioritized exceptional customer service; and
WHEREAS, beginning with a Canon dealership in Waynesboro, Offix has since expanded to four locations serving the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area, Richmond, Norfolk, Baltimore, and the Greater Lynchburg area; and
WHEREAS, Offix offers its customers a range of services to meet their business needs and enhance their productivity and efficiency, including a variety of copiers, printers, scanners, software, and mail room equipment; and
WHEREAS, Steve Valenta's high degree of technical expertise and understanding of the products Offix sells enables the company to provide comprehensive solutions to their clients' diverse needs; and
WHEREAS, since 2003, Steve Valenta's wife, Kim, has been a vital member of the Offix team, bringing decades of managerial experience and financial expertise to help guide the company; and
WHEREAS, the accomplishments of Offix are the result of the positive and supportive work culture the company has fostered and the unwavering dedication of the company's staff; and
WHEREAS, Offix has built its sterling reputation over the years by consistently providing quality products, reliable maintenance, and extraordinary customer service, contributing to the success and prosperity of countless Virginia businesses and organizations; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Offix hereby be commended on the occasion of its 25th anniversary; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Steve Valenta, founder of Offix, as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for the company's history and appreciation for its service to businesses and organizations of the Commonwealth.
