WHEREAS, in 2018, the Central High School girls' basketball team won the Virginia High School League Class 2A state championship for the fourth time in the past five years; and
WHEREAS, the outstanding team members of the Central High School girls' basketball team—Haley Mullins, Gracie Mullins, Brittany Mullins, Brook Porter, Sarah Dotson, Grace Thompson, Gabby Hall, Hannah Large, Olivia Mullins, Hannah Carter, Hannah McAmis, Callie Mullins, and Dee Cvetnich—all contributed to the victory; and
WHEREAS, Dee Cvetnich earned a First Team All-State selection, and Brook Porter, Olivia Mullins, and Gracie Mullins earned Second Team All-State selections; head coach of the Central High School girls' basketball team, Robin Dotson, was selected as Coach of the Year by the Virginia High School Coaches Association; and
WHEREAS, these fine young athletes on the Central High School girls' basketball team, along with head coach Robin Dotson, assistant coaches Josh Mabe, Ally Stallard, Taylor Sandidge, and Quinn Reynolds, manager Emily Broadwater, and parents, are deserving of the highest praise for their dedicated efforts and extraordinary achievements; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That the Central High School girls' basketball team hereby be commended on winning the Virginia High School League Class 2A state championship; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Robin Dotson, head coach of the Central High School girls' basketball team, as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for the team's achievements and best wishes for the future.
