Commending the Chesterfield Food Bank Outreach Center.

WHEREAS, the Chesterfield Food Bank Outreach Center was established in 2010 as a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to nourishing and strengthening the Chesterfield County community; and
WHEREAS, the Chesterfield Food Bank Outreach Center is committed to not only feeding those in need but also empowering individuals and families to overcome the root causes of food insecurity; and
WHEREAS, the Chesterfield Food Bank Outreach Center operates under the belief that no one should go hungry and strives to connect those it serves with life-changing programs provided by exceptional partners, in addition to its own initiatives; and
WHEREAS, the Chesterfield Food Bank Outreach Center works to create sustainable change by addressing the underlying causes of food insecurity, helping to enhance the overall quality of life in the community; and
WHEREAS, in 2023, the Chesterfield Food Bank Outreach Center distributed 2,772,582 pounds of food to those in need, significantly alleviating hunger in the region; and
WHEREAS, the Chesterfield Food Bank Outreach Center also provided 2,520,530 meals to neighbors in need, helping to ensure that no one went without food; and
WHEREAS, the Chesterfield Food Bank Outreach Center engaged 2,694 households through its outreach programs and partnerships assistance services, offering vital support to families and individuals across Chesterfield County; and
WHEREAS, in 2023, the Chesterfield Food Bank Outreach Center's volunteers dedicated 52,530 hours of service, demonstrating the community's commitment to supporting its mission and helping to strengthen the region; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That the Chesterfield Food Bank Outreach Center hereby be commended on the occasion of its 15th anniversary; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the Chesterfield Food Bank Outreach Center as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for the organization's dedication to fighting hunger and fostering a stronger community.
