WHEREAS, Thomas Dix, a rising senior at Northampton High School, was selected as the Eastern Shore Region Soccer Player of the Year in 2024; and

WHEREAS, during his junior season, midfielder Thomas Dix scored 13 goals and recorded seven assists; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Dix helped lead the Northampton High School Yellow Jackets to a 15–3 overall record and a 6–0 regional record; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Dix and the Northampton Yellow Jackets ultimately advanced to the Virginia High School League Class 1 state semifinal; and

WHEREAS, after the season, Thomas Dix was also named to the All-Region First Team and the Class 1 All-State First Team; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Thomas Dix hereby be commended on his selection as the 2024 Eastern Shore Region Soccer Player of the Year; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Thomas Dix as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for his athletic achievements.
