Commending Liz Noto, Ph.D.

WHEREAS, Liz Noto, Ph.D., principal at Herndon High School, was named the Outstanding Principal of Region 1 by Fairfax County Public Schools in 2025; and

WHEREAS, Liz Noto began her career in education as a math teacher in Hanover County, earned a doctoral degree in educational leadership and policy studies from The George Washington University in 2009, and worked as an assistant principal at Woodson High School in Fairfax County and later at Potomac Falls High School in Loudoun County; and

WHEREAS, Liz Noto joined the Herndon High School administration in January 2017 and has worked tirelessly ever since to help her students achieve their full academic potential while nurturing their physical, social, and emotional well-being; and

WHEREAS, Liz Noto has fostered a supportive and inclusive learning environment at Herndon High School that facilitates positive and meaningful relationships and encourages both students and staff to thrive; and

WHEREAS, Liz Noto has made an impact at Herndon High School by inspiring excellence and creativity among her students and staff and by providing an innovative vision for the school's future; and

WHEREAS, Liz Noto's award is a testament to her an unwavering commitment to her students, her staff, and the entire Herndon High School community; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Liz Noto, Ph.D., hereby be commended for being named the 2025 Outstanding Principal of Region 1 by Fairfax County Public Schools; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Liz Noto, Ph.D., as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for her contributions to Fairfax County and the Commonwealth.
