Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Title 32.1 a chapter numbered 21, consisting of a section numbered 32.1-376 as follows:
CHAPTER 21.
CONTRACEPTION.
32.1-376. Right to access contraception.
A. It is the public policy of the Commonwealth that, independently of the requirements of the Constitution of the United States, individuals posses the right to access contraception as set forth in Griswold v. Connecticut, 381 U.S. 479 (1965) and Eisenstadt v. Baird, 405 U.S. 438 (1972).
B. Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection A, no one shall be compelled to provide contraceptives if such rejection is based upon religious or conscientious objection.
