Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 29.1-528.3 as follows:
§29.1-528.3. Local regulation of snare traps.
It shall be illegal to kill or trap or attempt to kill or trap any game animal using a snare trap [ in any area of the Commonwealth east of Interstate 95 during deer hunting season ] .
