AMENDMENT IN THE NATURE OF A SUBSTITUTE
(Proposed by the Senate Committee on Rehabilitation and Social Services
on January 31, 2014)

A BILL to allow any county operating under the urban county executive form of government to continue using a local sliding scale in determining copayment responsibilities for families receiving child-care subsidy.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. §1. That any county operating under the urban county executive form of government shall be permitted to determine copayment responsibilities for families receiving child-care subsidy based on a local sliding scale that sets copayment amounts between 2.5 and 10 percent of the families' countable monthly income.

2. That the provisions of this act shall expire on July 1, 2016.
