WHEREAS, Culpeper Regional Hospital celebrates 50 years of providing quality health care to the communities of Culpeper, Madison, Orange, Rappahannock, southern Fauquier County, and surrounding areas; and WHEREAS, Culpeper Regional Hospital is a 70-bed acute care hospital with comprehensive services that include a Family Birth Center, FamilyCare Home Health & Hospice, intensive care unit, state-of-the-art imaging center, Cardiovascular Center, Cancer Center, and 24-hour, physician-staffed emergency room; and WHEREAS, committed to superior patient service, Culpeper Regional Hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and its laboratory has received accreditation from the Commission on Laboratory Accreditation of the College of American Pathologists; and WHEREAS, as a not-for-profit health care organization, Culpeper Regional Hospital reinvests any profit realized back into the hospital for technology, equipment, staffing, and facilities improvements in order to stay abreast of the latest changes in technology and attract the best health care professionals; and WHEREAS, Culpeper Regional Hospital is one of the region's largest employers, with nearly 600 dedicated physicians, nurses, and other medical and administrative staff who strive to provide patients with the best possible service; and WHEREAS, Culpeper Regional Hospital has received numerous awards for its dedication to outstanding health care, including the Partner for Change and Making Medicine Mercury Free awards from Hospitals for a Healthy Environment; an Award for Exceeding Patient Expectations from Avatar International, Inc.; a Bronze Achievement Award from the Virginia Health Quality Center; and a Superior Award from the Virginia Society for Healthcare Marketing and Public Relations; and WHEREAS, for over 50 years, Culpeper Regional Hospital has been a leader in health care services for Culpeper and the surrounding areas; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly commend Culpeper Regional Hospital on the occasion of its 50th anniversary; and, be it RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Culpeper Regional Hospital as an expression of the General Assembly's respect and admiration for the hospital's commitment to providing the best health care available to its patients. |
