WHEREAS, Gary Stephen Michel, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather and treasured member of the Chantilly community, died on January 30, 2025; and
WHEREAS, born in Queens, New York, Gary Michel was defined by his loving devotion to his family, his enthusiasm for all New York sports teams, and his good sense of humor; and
WHEREAS, Gary Michel was cherished by all who knew him for his willingness to support and uplift others in need and for his dedication to making the world a better place; and
WHEREAS, Gary Michel will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by his loving wife, Mariann; his children, Mariann, Michele, Stephanie, Stella, and Malissa, and their families; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of Virginia hereby note with great sadness the loss of Gary Stephen Michel, a revered member of the Chantilly community whose light brightened countless lives; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Gary Stephen Michel as an expression of the Senate of Virginia's respect for his memory.
