Senator Maroney moved to amend the House amendment on page 1, line 4, by changing the colon to a period and striking out the words “Provided, That if the patient’s transportation is being provided under the West Virginia Medicaid non-emergency medical transportation benefit, the patient may not be transported to an out of the state location greater than 30 miles past the West Virginia border.” and adding in lieu thereof the words “The provider is solely responsible for the patient’s out-of-state transportation costs and shall pay all of transportation costs associated with returning the patient to their out-of-state location.”.
