Permitting the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources to proceed with procuring bids and interest in companies to place a lodge on the property of Beech Fork Lake.
Whereas, Beech Fork Lake is one of the largest lakes in the tri-state region, drawing visitors from West Virginia, Kentucky, and Ohio; and
Whereas, Visitors who come to West Virginia from out of state to enjoy the lake may wish to stay on site with the opportunity of a lodge on the lake property; and
Whereas, Beech Fork Lake is already a ready-made attraction for tourism in West Virginia, providing fishing, camping, boating, and other outdoor activities, and the creation of a lodge on the lake property would increase the amount of visitors to this destination; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Legislature:
Further Resolved, That the Clerk of the House forward a copy of this resolution to the West Virginia Department of Tourism and the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources.
