Recognizing the dedicated public service of the Honorable Robert Lee Karnes.

Whereas, The Honorable Robert Lee Karnes was born May 13, 1969, in South Charleston, West Virginia, the son of George Lee Karnes, Sr., and Claudia Susan (Williams) Petree; and

Whereas, The Honorable Robert Lee Karnes received his education at Poca High School; and

Whereas, The Honorable Robert Lee Karnes was elected to the West Virginia Senate in 2014 and 2020; and

Whereas, The Honorable Robert Lee Karnes, during his tenure in the Senate, served as Chair, Committee on Natural Resources, 82nd Legislature; Vice Chair, Committee on Interstate Cooperation, 82nd Legislature; Vice Chair, Committee on Education, 83rd Legislature; Chair, Committee on Tax Reform, 83rd Legislature; Chair, Committee on Pensions, 83rd Legislature; therefore, be it

Resolved by the Senate:

That the Senate hereby recognizes the dedicated public service of the Honorable Robert Lee Karnes; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the Senate extends its sincere appreciation and gratitude to the Honorable Robert Lee Karnes for his dedication and commitment to serving the citizens of West Virginia; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to forward a copy of this resolution to the Honorable Robert Lee Karnes.
