HOUSE BILL 2604

 

 

 

AN ACT

 

amending section 41-5001, Arizona Revised Statutes; relating to valid IDENTIFICATION.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Section 41-5001, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read:

START_STATUTE41-5001.  Valid identification; consular identification cards; definition

A.  This state or any political subdivision of this state shall not accept a consular identification card that is issued by a foreign government as a valid form of identification if the foreign government uses biometric identity verification techniques in issuing the consular identification card.

B.  For the purposes of this section, "biometric identity verification techniques" includes fingerprint identification and retina scans. END_STATUTE
