AN ACT
amending title 38, chapter 8, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 38‑1117; relating to peace officers.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Title 38, chapter 8, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 38-1117, to read:
38-1117. Prohibited law enforcement agency contracts; off‑duty work for law enforcement officers
A law enforcement agency in this state may not hire or contract with a person or business to coordinate that law enforcement agency's off‑duty work assignments if the person or business is a broker in the business of providing off‑duty law enforcement officers employment or the person has an agency license issued pursuant to section 32‑2613 and has employees or clients who are licensed security guards or law enforcement officers.
