An act relating to migrant education.


LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


AB 1319, as introduced, Arambula. Migrant education: school or school district of origin.
Existing law requires the State Board of Education to adopt a state master plan for services to migrant children.
This bill would state the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation that would allow a pupil who is a migrant child to continue attending their school of origin or a school within their school district of origin, regardless of any change of residence of the migrant child or their family.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 It is the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation that would allow a pupil who is a migrant child to continue attending their school of origin or a school within their school district of origin, regardless of any change of residence of the migrant child or their family.
