LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST
Existing law provides for the regulation of health insurers by the Department of Insurance. Existing law defines “health insurance” to mean an individual or group disability insurance policy that provides coverage for hospital, medical, or surgical benefits and specifies that the term does not include certain kinds of insurance.
This bill would make a technical, nonsubstantive change to that provision.
