An act relating to pupil instruction.


LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


AB 1787, as introduced, Kiley. Pupil instruction: civics education.
Existing law requires a pupil to complete specified courses as a condition of receiving a diploma of graduation from high school, including the completion of a one-semester course in American government and civics.
This bill would state the intent of the Legislature to enact future legislation relating to civics education.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 It is the intent of the Legislature to enact future legislation relating to civics education.
