An act to amend Section 1487 of the Civil Code, relating to obligations.

Existing law requires an offer of performance on an obligation to be made by the debtor or by some person on the debtor’s behalf with the debtor’s assent.

This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to the that provision.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

SECTION 1.

Section 1487 of the Civil Code is amended to read:

1487.

An offer of performance ~~must~~ shall be made by the ~~debtor,~~ debtor or by some person on ~~his~~ the debtor’s behalf and with ~~his~~ the debtor’s assent.
