An act to amend Section 104905 of the Health and Safety Code, relating to older adults.
LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST
AB 2196, as introduced, Calderon.
Disease prevention and health promotion: older adults.
Existing law requires the State Department of Public Health to provide staff and budgetary support for planning, evaluation, education, research design, funding, and medical leadership for health promotion and preventive health services for older adults, as defined.
This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to these provisions.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:
SECTION 1.
Section 104905 of the Health and Safety Code is amended to read:104905.
The department shall provide staff and budgetary support for planning, evaluation, education, research design, funding, and medical leadership for health promotion and preventive health services for older adults. For purposes of this section, an “older adult” is a person 55 years of age or older.For purposes of this section, “older adults” means persons 55 years of age or older.
