BILL NUMBER: AB 2517 INTRODUCED BILL TEXT INTRODUCED BY Assembly Member Buchanan FEBRUARY 19, 2010 An act to amend Section 15152 of the Government Code, relating to state government. LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST AB 2517, as introduced, Buchanan. State government: law enforcement telecommunications system. Existing law requires the Department of Justice to maintain a statewide telecommunications system of communication for the use of law enforcement agencies. This bill would make a technical, nonsusbtantive change in that law. Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no. State-mandated local program: no. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 15152 of the Government Code is amended to read: 15152. The Department of Justice shall maintain a statewide telecommunications systemof communicationfor the use of law enforcement agencies.
