AB 822, as introduced, Elhawary. Commission on the State of Hate.
Existing law, until January 1, 2027, establishes the Commission on the State of Hate in the state government, and specifies the goals of the commission, including providing resources and assistance to various state agencies, law enforcement agencies, and the public on the state of hate to keep these entities and the public informed of emerging trends in hate-related crime.
This bill would express the intent of the Legislature to enact subsequent legislation that would extend the sunset date for the Commission on the State of Hate.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 It is the intent of the Legislature to enact subsequent legislation that would extend the sunset date for the Commission on the State of Hate.
