LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST ACR 27, as amended, Beth Gaines. Month of the Young Professional. This measure would proclaim the month of March 2015 as the Month of the Young Professional. WHEREAS, California has the responsibility to recognize occasions of outstanding significance; and WHEREAS, The country's most robust economies are driven by metropolitan areas infused with flourishing young professionals; and WHEREAS, The attraction and retention of young professionals is essential to the future competitiveness of the State of California, its businesses, and its citizens; and WHEREAS, Young professionals play a significant role in the economic viability of the State of California; and WHEREAS, Young professionals have partnered with business and community leaders to promote and create a viable and livable place for young professionals; and WHEREAS, Young professionals will convene the second annual Young Professionals Summit on March 27, 2015; and WHEREAS, This summit will provide social, philanthropic, professional, and civic development opportunities; and WHEREAS, The accomplishments of young professionals deserve acknowledgment, affirmation, and celebration by the State of California; now, therefore, be it Resolved by the Assembly of the State of California, the Senate thereof concurring, That the Legislature hereby proclaims the month of March 2015 as the Month of the Young Professional; and be it further Resolved, That the Chief Clerk of the Assembly transmit copies of this resolution to the author for appropriate distribution.
