An act to amend Section 26900 of the Government Code, relating to local government.

Existing law requires the auditor of a county to examine and settle the accounts of any persons indebted to the county or holding money payable into the county treasury, and to certify the amount to the treasurer, as specified.
This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to this provision.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 Section 26900 of the Government Code is amended to read:

26900.
 The auditor shall examine and settle the accounts of any persons indebted to the county or holding money payable into the county treasury, and shall certify the amount to the treasurer. Upon the presentation and filing of the treasurer’s receipt therefor, the auditor shall give to such that person a discharge and charge the treasurer with the amount received by him. received.
