AN ACT AUTHORIZING MUNICIPALITIES TO IMPOSE IMPACT FEES ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to authorize municipal planning and zoning commissions to impose impact fees on new affordable housing developments that require a substantial expansion of public services, including schools, sewers, public safety and fire services, and roads.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow planning and zoning commissions to impose impact fees when approving affordable housing developments.
