AN ACT CONCERNING THE PROVISION OF EMERGENCY HOME REPAIR SERVICES BY HOME IMPROVEMENT CONTRACTORS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 20-429 of the general statutes be amended to exempt the provision of emergency home repair services by a home improvement contractor from the three-day contract cancellation requirements set forth in chapter 740 of the general statutes.
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that home improvement contractors are paid for services provided to persons in emergency situations.
