AN ACT CONCERNING AGREEMENTS FOR THE REPAYMENT OF CERTAIN EMPLOYMENT BENEFITS BY EMPLOYEES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That sections 31-51r and 31-73 of the general statutes be amended to provide that neither section shall render void any agreement by an employee to repay an employer for a sign-on bonus or tuition payments or reimbursements if the employee violates a promise to remain employed with the employer for a reasonable time.

Statement of Purpose:

To honor certain employment agreements.
