AN ACT CONCERNING PROPERTY TAX RELIEF DUE TO REGIONALIZING MUNICIPAL SERVICES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require municipalities that regionalize a service or function to share a portion of the savings realized from such regionalization with their respective taxpayers by providing a credit on their taxpayers' property tax bills.
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that any savings realized by a municipality as a result of regionalizing a service or function be shared with the taxpayers of such municipality.
