AN ACT CONCERNING DISSECTION CHOICE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. (NEW) (Effective July 1, 2011) No local or regional school district shall require students raising a conscientious objection to perform dissections on any animal as part of classroom instruction.

This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:

Statement of Purpose:

To allow students to conscientiously object to performing animal dissections in the classroom.
