AN ACT CONCERNING AN ARBITRATION PROCESS FOR SURPRISE BILLS AND BILLS FOR EMERGENCY SERVICES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 38a of the general statutes be amended to require the establishment of (1) an arbitration process by which a dispute over a bill for emergency services or a surprise bill for health care services rendered under certain circumstances may be resolved, and (2) standards to be used in the arbitration process.
Statement of Purpose:
To require the establishment of an arbitration process by which a dispute over a bill for emergency services or a surprise bill for health care services may be resolved and standards to be used in the arbitration process.
