AN ACT IMPOSING A TAX ON MEDICAL MARIJUANA.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to impose a six per cent tax on medical marijuana at the dispensary level, the revenue from such tax to be used for drug abuse treatment programs.

Statement of Purpose:

To provide funding for drug abuse treatment programs by imposing a six per cent tax on medical marijuana.
